At the committee meeting on 17 September, H K Chan, Chief of Operations Engineering Services & Innovation at MTR Corporation shared with members on the latest development of MTR’s automation and safety system to enhance safety, optimize maintenance and improve overall passenger experience.

Chan shared insights into the company’s innovations, including the adoption of multiple e-payment systems and predictive real-time passenger information to enhance trip planning. He also highlighted the Performance & Health Monitoring System, which supports train maintenance and passenger safety, along with the exploration of alternative energy solutions and energy saving mechanisms to meet ESG targets.
