Ryan Ip, Vice President and Executive Director of the Public Policy Institute at Our Hong Kong Foundation briefed members on the overall progress of the Northern Metropolis development at the committee meeting on 28 May. Ip discussed potential financing models and private-public partnership opportunities to support the new metropolis’ future development based on case studies from the Mainland and overseas. At the same meeting, Gracie Ng, Chief of Staff, and Timothy Tam, Associate Director, CEO Office, Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation representatives, explained the master planning study on the San Tin Technopole Campus, which is expected to be completed in the third quarter of this year. They also sought feedback from members on the project’s future direction.
