Tony Wong, Commissioner for Digital Policy, provided an insightful overview of the Government’s latest cross-border data transfer initiatives and the Greater Bay Area Standard Contract during the committee meeting on 22 July. His presentation, covering sector-specific applications, preparation tips for businesses and future work to facilitate data flow, was particularly significant as Hong Kong reinforces its role as a leading international city.

At the same meeting, Gillian Meller was elected Chairman, while Rita Tang was elected Vice Chairman. Brian Ho was re-elected Vice Chairman. Members also expressed their gratitude to outgoing Chairman Nick Chan for his leadership. The meeting ended with a casual networking session.
