Smart Skies: Navigating the Future of Low-Altitude Mobility
On 10 June, a seminar moderated by Patrick Lee, Convenor of Smart City Working Group, sparked intriguing conversations on how the Low-Altitude Economy (LAE) can take off in Hong Kong. Thanks to our distinguished speakers, Wong Chun To, Principal Assistant Secretary (Transport and Logistics), Transport and Logistics Bureau, Ir Prof. Lawrence Poon, Head of Emerging Technology – Global Innovation at MTR Corporation Limited and Prof Weisong Wen, Assistant Professor, Department of Aeronautical and Aviation Engineering at Hong Kong Polytechnic University, for sharing their fascinating insights. The dynamic dialogues delved into various aspects of embracing the “smart skies” era, including navigating the dense urban landscape of our skyscraper city, implementing regulatory frameworks, as well as opportunities for businesses in the sector, from building facade maintenance to aerial photography and infrastructure monitoring.
