After the committee meeting on March 18, a seminar titled "Sustainable Solutions: Innovations in Transport and Logistics" was organized, inviting industry leaders to discuss recent advancements in green technology and sustainable practices.

Samuel Wong, Sustainable Aviation Fuel Development Manager at Cathay Pacific Airways Ltd, presented the company's strategic roadmap aimed at achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2050. Charles Ngai, Senior Manager of Group Corporate Affairs at Hutchison Port Holdings Limited, discussed the initiatives that support the company's transformation into a green port. Kason Li, Deputy Head of Engineering - Support & Technical Services at Citybus Limited, introduced Hong Kong's first electric and hydrogen double-decker buses, which are part of efforts to promote sustainable urban mobility. Suki Han, Assistant Manager for Policy & Research at the Business Environment Council, explored the latest developments in policies regarding green transport and the Council's ongoing policy research initiatives. Special thanks to Wilson Kwong, Chairman of the Transport & Logistics Committee, for moderating the session.

Participants explored the role of policy frameworks in fostering sustainable development and innovative engineering solutions within the transport and logistics sectors. The seminar also acted as a platform for exchanging ideas and strategies for a more sustainable future.
