At a webinar on 30 March, Coen Van Niersen, Managing Director for Events, Entertainment & Hospitality from The Commons Project, shared their latest initiative – CommonPass, a digital health pass, which was developed in collaboration with the World Economic Forum and The Rockfeller Foundation. The electronic certificate system is designed to provide a neutral, secure and verifiable way for travelers to document their health status when crossing borders. The system was launched in the fourth quarter of 2020 and is designed to offer users access and control of their personal data. It is also scalable and can be adapted for such settings as concerts, bars, restaurants and cruises, among other use cases.
