How to deal with the Mainland Individual Income Tax
The Mainland’s Individual Income Tax law came into effect on January 1, 2019. To help members better understand how to deal with the changes to the Mainland Individual Income Tax, Louis Lam, China South Leader at PwC Global Mobility Services, and Iris Lai, Manager, PwC Global Mobility Services, attended a luncheon on 20 February to brief members on issues arising from the new tax laws such as the transitional arrangements from the existing to the new IIT laws, detailed guidelines on additional itemized deductions and preferential treatments for tax residents.
