Modernising Corporate Culture to Attract the Best Talent
Salary has long been considered a key driver in attracting talent. But while pay remains important, it is no longer the only consideration, and corporate culture plays an increasingly important role in the efficiency of businesses as well as the satisfaction of employees.
Cynthia Chung and Elsie Chan from the employment practice at Deacons discussed the evolution of corporate culture at a Chamber webinar on 7 May. Chung explained the necessity for businesses of ensuring their employees’ physical and mental health. Chan also emphasized the importance of communication to facilitate mutual understanding and avoid disputes. Both speakers said that creating a good corporate culture is an effective way to attract and retain talent in the workplace.
