Supply Chain Disruption – Navigating through the Business Recovery Journey
The global spread of Covid-19 has created massive disruption for international trade and supply chains. Nelson Chow and Jonathan Beard, both Partners at EY, spoke on the supply chain challenges currently being faced by businesses at a webinar on 6 May. Chow explained that Covid-19 has highlighted the fragility of global supply chains, which have moved towards lean inventories and just-in-time production in recent years. Meanwhile, Beard spoke about the importance of leveraging on digital innovations such as the Internet of Things and artificial intelligence to enhance data exchange and support companies’ ability to resist future shocks.
