Veterinary surgeon Dr Steven Chan shared some useful tips about first aid for pets, including how to handle emergencies and toxic risks, at a roundtable on 9 August. Apart from certain kinds of food, he also pointed out that some plants, especially lilies, are highly toxic to cats. Dr Chan also talked about the signs of pet emergency such as heat stroke, and explained some basic first aid techniques. Pet owners among our members benefited enormously from this informative presentation.
