Network & Learn

Soprano Colette Lam and baritone Alexander Chen from Opera Hong Kong treated members to some stunning performances at the Chamber’s first ever operatic evening on 10 January. Also in attendance was Hong Kong’s very own opera star Warren Mok, who shared his story of becoming the first world-class Chinese tenor and performing around the world. In a highly entertaining short talk, Director of Opera Hong Kong, Philip Eisenbeiss introduced some of the key components of opera that have made it such an enduring and globally popular art form. And representing the younger generation, a group of talented youngsters from Opera Hong Kong’s children’s chorus performed a few favourites from the musical  “A Sound of Music”.
