Exploring Innovation and Connection: Visit to HKMU
YEC Chairman Victor Lam led 15 Young Executives Club (YEC) members to visit the Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU) on 27 May for a tour of the Digital Art Laboratory and the HKMU Ho Sik Yee Library. During the visit, members gained an understanding of HKMU's evolution and growth and received a briefing on research in coastal biodiversity and ecosystem conservation. The event concluded with a valuable networking session, fostering connections between YEC members and HKMU students.

YEC members enjoyed an exciting evening of racing and gourmet dining at the Happy Valley Racecourse on 8 January. In his toast, YEC Chairman Victor Lam wished everyone good health and happiness in the year ahead.

Meeting with the China Chamber of International Commerce
Xu Liang, Deputy Secretary-General of the China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC), visited the Chamber on 11 April to discuss the upcoming APEC China Business Council Hong Kong Forum.
Organized by CCOIC and supported by HKGCC, the forum will be held on 22 April in Hong Kong with speakers and experts from different business sectors, including HKGCC Chairman Betty Yuen. In his meeting with Director of Policy & Research Wendy Lam, Xu suggested further cooperation between the two chambers as well as jointly organizing more events for members.

Inauguration of Biz Expands Easy Square
SME Committee Vice Chairmen Thomas Su and Vikky Tam attended the inauguration of Biz Expands Easy Square (BEE2) and Voice of Customer Announcement on 16 January, which was organized by the Hong Kong Productivity Council. BEE2 aims to offer a platform that enhances the accessibility of funding resources for SMEs and startup.

Meeting with the Economic Development Bureau of the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin
It was a pleasure to welcome António Lei, Director of the Economic Development Bureau of the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin, on 13 October. Lei and his delegation were received by Chairman Betty Yuen, CEO Patrick Yeung, Vice-Chairman of China Committee Edmond Yew and members.
Lei briefly introduced the features of the Cooperation Zone, especially the “tier-specific” management policy, which fosters talent and capital flow between Macao and Hengqin. The two sides also discussed the business development of Hong Kong enterprises in the Cooperation Zone, in areas such as research and innovation, medical industry, data centres, etc.
The Cooperation Zone is committed to establishing and improving a new system for joint consultation, joint construction, joint management, and common use between Guangdong and Macao.
