On 29 November, members enjoyed an exclusive visit to the factory of local start-up EcoBricks where Founder and CEO Shervin Sharghy explained his company’s role in and contribution to developing a circular economy in Hong Kong for the handling of urban plastic waste. Members also learnt about the process of transforming plastic waste into concrete bricks through a breakthrough technology that is capable of up-cycling all seven types of recyclable plastics, as well as mixed and composite plastics that are otherwise difficult to recycle.
