On an exclusive visit to Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) on 13 June, members were given access to the Apron to see the latest developments with the three-runway system and expansion of Terminal One. The delegation then visited the Innovation Lab, which showcases some of HKIA’s latest technological initiatives, including a self-service departure gateway that uses facial recognition technology, and a patrol robot. Members had the opportunity to try out these advanced technologies and see them in action. The tour ended with a presentation on Smart Airport delivered by Chris Au Young, General Manager, Smart Airport, Airport Authority Hong Kong
