Sino Inno Lab is a “sand table” that provides a real-life environment for companies to test and modify their new PropTech (property technology) products without risking their own business operations. It is available for start-ups, inventors and technology companies in Hong Kong and from overseas to develop their ideas. A Chamber delegation enjoyed the chance to experience various cutting-edge PropTech solutions that can be applied to hotels, residences and shopping malls during a visit on 26 March. Some of the innovations they saw included a “smart film” for windows, which acts as a curtain that can be switched to opaque or black. The film also can also be used for display and has functions including an alarm setting. Members enjoyed a demonstration of a companion robot powered by artificial intelligence.
