Futureland, a pop-up from AlipayHK, provided a glimpse into the future of shopping during its two-week residency at Cityplaza in Tai Koo. A group of members enjoyed an exclusive tour on a visit organized by the Retail & Tourism Committee on 15 March. One of the main draws of the exhibition was the Eslite New Living Unmanned Store. Retail innovations in this shop included the “smart product shelf” system, which allows users to see the details about any product simply by picking up the item. Members also had the opportunity to virtually “try on” clothes using an augmented reality (AR) dressing mirror.
