Zheng Jianmin, Secretary of the Leading Party Group and Chairman of the CPPCC Dongguan Municipal Committee, led a delegation to the Chamber on 19 March, where they were received by Vice Chairman PC Yu and General Committee member Emil Yu. Both parties engaged in in-depth discussions regarding economic cooperation and industrial development. Zheng Jianmin provided an overview of Dongguan's economic and social landscape, highlighting the city's strong connections with Hong Kong, where approximately 800,000 compatriots resided. He noted that while Dongguan’s core focus was on the real economy, the city had been actively positioning itself in emerging sectors, such as the low-altitude economy.

Zheng Wenzhi, Secretary of the Leading Party Group and President of the Dongguan CCPIT, further emphasized that Dongguan enterprises were actively expanding into emerging markets in East Asia and Central Asia, and were committed to promoting the internationalization of the retail sector. This included efforts to assist traditional Shanghai brands in exporting their products through Dongguan to global markets. He believed there was significant potential for cooperation between Dongguan and Hong Kong, particularly in terms of industrial chain integration, where Hong Kong's strengths in design and R&D could be combined with Dongguan's manufacturing capabilities to achieve product transformation and market expansion.
