Real Estate & Infrastructure Committee

Terms of Reference

1) Mission

• Advise the Chamber General Committee and Chamber Directorate on developments with the real estate and infrastructure sectors with the aim of initiating, supporting or changing Chamber policies in the relevant areas.

2) Membership

• Membership is open to Chamber corporate members with an interest in, or who have specific knowledge about the relevant issues of, the real estate and infrastructure sectors.
• Chamber individual associate members who wish to apply as observers to the Committee should possess similar qualifications.
• Committee membership is subject to agreement by the committee chairman and the Chamber CEO.
• Members should observe the "Guidelines for HKGCC Committees".

3) Objectives

• Monitor and research developments within the Hong Kong SAR real estate and infrastructure sectors, with special emphasis on the requirements of property and infrastructure owners and users.
• Monitor Government policies, legislation and regulations affecting developments with the real estate and infrastructure sectors.
• Liaise, where necessary, with other Committees of the Chamber and other organisations, with a view to pursuing Committee objectives within its areas of interest.
• Undertake any related work or projects as directed by the General Committee or Directorate.
