The project, which ran from 2023-24, successfully recycled 16 tons of chicken waste daily into animal feed and compost. “In Hong Kong, approximately 38 tons of chicken waste are generated daily and dumped into landfills. The pilot facility recycled 40% of this waste,” explained Ng.
