Hong Kong Airport Services Limited (HAS by Cathay) was found in 1995 and commenced operations in 1998 with the opening of the Chek Lap Kok International Airport. It now employs 2,300-plus employees and owns more than 2,400 items of ground services equipment (GSE). It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Cathay Pacific Airways.
Business Activities
HAS by Cathay provides one-stop ground handling services to airline customers. They include loading and unloading of aircraft, baggage handling, cargo and mail delivery, turnaround co-ordination, aircraft load control, aerobridge and passenger steps operation, and crew transportation. HAS by Cathay also provides passenger and flight handling services such as passenger check-in, ticketing and flight dispatch.
