Company Background

Bank Consortium Trust Company Limited (“BCTC”) together with BCT Financial Limited (“BCTF”) constitutes BCT Group (“BCT”). BCT is a key provider of MPF/ORSO products and best-in-class asset servicing for investment funds and pensions with BCTC being one of the largest trust companies in Hong Kong. As at Dec 2016, assets under administration exceeded HK$160 billion, serving over 1.1 million member accounts.

Founded in 1999, BCT’s shareholder group currently comprises eight reputable financial institutions with long history of serving the public, namely Asia Financial, Chong Hing Bank, Dah Sing Bank, Fubon Bank, ICBC (Asia), OCBC Wing Hang, Shanghai Commercial Bank and Wing Lung Bank, with an extensive network of more than 330 branches in Hong Kong. As at 31 December 2016, the total assets and total equities of BCT’s shareholder group exceeded HK$1,900 billion and HK$220 billion respectively. BCT takes pride in its sound financial position and stability.

Business Activities

BCTF acts as a sponsor and distributor of pension products whilst providing premier customer services, investment planning and retirement planning services as well as investor education. Multiple fund managers with diverse investment styles and philosophies are appointed to manage the funds under our MPF/ORSO schemes. It allows us to focus on the service qualities of the fund managers through our selection and monitoring process and provides us with the flexibility to replace them independently. Currently, we engage 8 global fund managers to manage funds on the MPF/ORSO platforms.

BCTC’s product offering is trustee, administrator and global custodian services for MPF/ORSO and international pension plans as well as global investment funds, QFII and RMB funds. Our services include fund services, trade support (middle office) fund accounting and valuation, investor administration, financial reporting, regulatory reporting and fiduciary services. Investors’ / scheme members’ interests are protected through our dedication to effectively monitor investment and regulatory compliance and reporting, safe keep of investors’ assets and monitor the global sub-custodian and investment managers appointed to pension plans and investment funds.
