For Immediate Release
Marking a quarter-century of nurturing young talent, the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce (HKGCC) has successfully concluded its Business-School Partnership Programme 2025/26. This milestone year achieved remarkable impact, connecting nearly 60 secondary schools with 45 leading corporations, while continuing to engage students from across the Greater Bay Area (GBA). The latest edition reinforces the Chamber’s enduring commitment to bridging the gap between classroom learning and real-world career readiness for tomorrow's leaders.
First launched in 2001, the Programme has evolved into one of the Chamber's flagship youth development initiatives, serving as an invaluable resource for educators. Over the past 25 years, it has provided thousands of students across Hong Kong with early, crucial exposure to the business world, fostering vital links between the education sector and the dynamic local economy.
2025/26 Programme Highlights:
- Cross-Boundary Engagement: Building on enhancements introduced last year, the Programme successfully integrated students from the GBA, broadening their horizons and strengthening regional youth connections.
- Hands-on Industry Exposure: Throughout the academic year, students participated in a diverse roster of activities, including on-site company visits, targeted career seminars, and interactive corporate workshops.
- Real-World Pathways: These immersive experiences provided students with actionable insights into workplace cultures, diverse industries, and future career opportunities within Hong Kong's evolving job market.
The Programme culminated in a closing ceremony at the Chamber on 10 July, gathering students, educators, and business leaders to celebrate the year's achievements and recognize the dedication of the participating partners.
“Celebrating 25 years of this Programme marks a remarkable milestone in our mission to nurture Hong Kong's talent pipeline,” said Patrick Yeung, CEO of HKGCC. “Over the past quarter-century, we have empowered thousands of students to bridge the gap between the classroom and the business world, inspiring the curiosity and confidence they need to build successful futures. We are incredibly grateful to all participating schools, member companies, and corporate mentors. Their unwavering support and dedication have been instrumental in the Programme's enduring success and in shaping the next generation of business leaders.”
