It was fascinating to learn about the Parsee community, an ethnoreligious group of Persian origin that settled in India over two millennia ago, from General Committee member Neville Shroff, Chairman and CEO of Shroff and Company Limited.

Shroff, who is President of the Zoroastrian Parsee Association of Hong Kong, outlined the extent of the community’s enduring influence in Hong Kong during our latest instalment of the "Dialogue with the GC Series." Prominent Parsees helped to fund and establish institutions like The University of Hong Kong and the Kowloon Cricket Club. Their legacy lives on in the names of streets like Bisney Road and Mody Road, as well as the iconic Star Ferry, which was founded by a pioneering Parsee businessman – one of the many who contributed to this multicultural city and called it their own.
