He Dongwen, Deputy District Head of Huicheng District, Huizhou, led a delegation to visit the Chamber and was received by Felix Lee, Chairman of the China Committeeon 19 March.
He outlined Huizhou’s recent development achievements and industrial strategy. As Guangdong Province’s fifth “trillion-yuan city,” Huizhou has maintained strong momentum throughout the 14th Five-Year Plan period, recording an average GDP growth rate of 6.3%—the highest in the province. Huicheng District is now home to more than 200 Hong Kong-invested enterprises, including Four Seas and Aobo, underscoring a solid base of Hong Kong investment.
He also noted that Huicheng District’s GDP is exceeded RMB 120 billion in 2025. He added that the district will position artificial intelligence as a key engine of its next phase of high-quality development, with a focus on attracting investment in the AI sector, accelerating the development of a full value-chain large-model industrial park, and strengthening an ecosystem spanning R&D, computing power, data, and application deployment to build a competitive AI industry cluster.
