Meeting with Sichuan United Front Work Department
Wen Su, Deputy Director of Sichuan United Front Work Department, visited the Chamber on 27 February, where they are received by Eric Fok, General Committee member and China Committee Chairman. Wen introduced that Hong Kong is one of the largest sources of foreign direct investment in Sichuan; and 377 of the Forbes 500 had invested in Sichuan. Hong Kong and Sichuan had established a very close economic and trade ties, and Wen hoped to enhance co-operation in the areas of financial services and trading between two places.

Meeting with Guangzhou Federation of Industry and Commerce
Greater Bay Area
Petrina Tam, GBA Working Group Convenor received the delegation led by Yu Jianchun, Vice Chairman of Guangzhou Federation of Industry and Commerce, on 21 February. Both parties exchanged views on deepening cooperation between Hong Kong and Guangzhou. Yu also invited Chamber leaders to attend their Spring Dinner in late March in Hong Kong.

Meeting with Tianjin Chamber of Commerce
Yu Weizhong, Vice President of Tianjin Chamber of Commerce, called on the Chamber on 21 February, where they are received by Petrina Tam, GBA Working Group Convenor. Yu introduced the latest investment environment and development in Tianjin. Members also exchanged their views on Tianjin and Hong Kong tourism prospect with the delegates.

Meeting with Haikou Commerce Bureau
Wang Mingfu, Director General of Haikou Commerce Bureau, visited the Chamber on 16 February, where they are received by SH Chan, China Committee Vice Chairman. They explored how to deepen cooperation under the current framework, and Wang invited members to visit Haikou to explore business opportunities.

Meeting with Department of Commerce of Jiangxi Province
You Ying, General Director, Department of Commerce of Jiangxi Province, led a delegation to visit the Chamber on 13 February to promote Jiangxi, where they were welcomed by China Committee Vice Chairman Siu Hung Chan. Jiangxi is located in the inland of China. Despite the serious strike of the COVID last year, its GDP growth reached 4.7%. In recent years, Jiangxi is deepening economic cooperation with the cities in the GBA. Hong Kong remains the largest source of foreign direct investment in Jiangxi.
