2018/09/06 | Meeting with Dr MJ Khan Chairman of Indian Council of Food and Agriculture Dr MJ Khan, Chairman of Indian Council of Food and Agriculture visited the Chamber on 6 September. He was received by Behzad Mirzaei, Chairman of the Asia & Africa Committee. Mirzaei introduced the business environment of Hong Kong and the Chamber’s work to Dr Khan. They discussed the issues and opportunities concerning trade and agriculture. Dr Khan invited the Chamber to attend the Agroworld- 2018 which will be held in New Delhi on 25-27 October 2018.

2018/08/31 | Meeting with Djauhari Oratmangun, Indonesian Ambassador to the PRC in Beijing Djauhari Oratmangun, Indonesian Ambassador to the PRC in Beijing, accompanied by Consul General of Indonesia Tri Tharyat, visited the Chamber on 31 August. They were welcomed by Chamber Chairman Aron Harilela and Chamber CEO Shirley Yuen. Ambassador Oratmangun expressed Indonesia’s desire to build stronger business ties with Hong Kong and Mainland China in light of the ASEAN-Hong Kong Free Trade Agreement and the Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement, signed in the earlier this year. Two sides also discussed the possibilities to have more cooperation and hold more joint events in the coming future.

2018/08/30 | Meeting with Kim Jong-kap, Chief Executive Director at Born2Global Kim Jong- kap, Chief Executive Director at Born2Global visited the Chamber on 30 August. He was received by Andrew Wells, Vice-Chairman of the Asia & Africa Committee and members from technological sector. He expressed his willingness to develop cooperation between Hong Kong and Korea to further promote our technological and startup initiatives, and to bring in potential businesses for Hong Kong service providers.
