Retail, Culture, Sports & Tourism Committee
Terms of Reference
1) Mission
To develop and promote a business environment in Hong Kong that enables the retail, culture, sports and tourism sectors to flourish.
2) Membership
The Committee is open to any corporate member of the Chamber in retail, culture, sports and tourism sectors.
Admission to the Committee is subject to agreement by the Committee Chairman and the Chamber CEO.
Members should abide by the "
Guidelines for HKGCC Committees
".
3) Functions
To study and advise the General Committee and Directorate on strategies and policies which foster a business-friendly environment that will benefit the retail, culture, sports and tourism sectors.
To study and advise the General Committee and Directorate on issues, reports and legislation, including draft legislation, having a bearing on retail, culture, sports and tourism sectors.
To identify areas of interest, concerns and problems relating to retail, culture, sports and tourism in Hong Kong.
To promote the short, medium and long-term development of retail, culture, sports and tourism sectors in Hong Kong.
To liaise, when necessary, with other Chamber committees, as well as relevant local or overseas bodies (including government bureaux/departments and public/professional organizations) to exchange views and lobby on issues within the Committee's scope of functions.
To carry out any other related work at the request of the Chamber’s General Committee or Directorate.
