An expert team of speakers from the Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) – including Mia Wu, Senior Consultant of IP Management; and her colleague Cody Yip, Associate Principal Consultant of IP Management, shared on latest trends in the patent landscape of Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area (GBA), whilst participants gained practical tips in the investment and commercialisation of such IP. We also gained a preview of the holistic range of services offered to businesses by HKPC through their soon to be established Technology and Innovation Support Centre, as well as the benefits of the Patent Application Grant to support patenting efforts and innovation and drive Hong Kong’s development as an IP trading hub.
Thanks to Richard Wong, Convenor of the Chamber’s IP Trading and Financing Working Group, for moderating the session.

We also learned more about Belt and Road Office’s ‘6+3+ Silk strategy’, which aims to further penetrate key core markets, discover new potential countries for expansion, as well as further capitalize on Hong Kong’s strengths as a dual circulation gateway to provide value-added services to local and global businesses seeking to operate in the connected jurisdictions of the BRI.
