The Xi–Cheng Meeting and the Emerging Dynamics of Cross‑Strait Engagement

We were delighted to organize a luncheon on 14 May, graciously hosted by Chamber Vice Chairman PC Yu, featuring Dr. Bob Lee as our keynote speaker.

Dr. Lee, Chairman of the Hong Kong Association for China Graduates, shared insightful perspectives on the latest developments across the Taiwan Strait. Drawing on the recent “Xi–Cheng Meeting,” He briefly reviewed the evolution of the Kuomintang’s cross-strait policies under its successive chairmen since the beginning of Taiwan, helping attendees better understand the political context and historical significance of the “Xi–Cheng Meeting.” He also unpacked the political signals and reflected on its broader implications for cross-strait relations.
