Re: Competition Commission Proposal to Vary (Renew) The Competition (Block Exemption for Vessel Sharing Agreements) Order 2017 (As Varied)
The Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce welcomes the opportunity to comment on the subject proposal.
We agree that this Block Exemption Order should be renewed, for the reasons set out in the Commission’s Notice Issued Under Section 20(2) of the Competition Ordinance (Cap.619), and in our response dated 6 November 2025 to the Commission’s initial consultation on this matter. Our views on specific matters regarding the terms of the renewal are also set out in the foregoing response. We reiterate those views, and attach a copy of our response for ease of reference.
