The Shift in Corporate Culture towards Innovation-The Sino Innovation Lab Experience

Innovation behind closed doors is a lonely, difficult process not to mention a risky proposition. Sino Group established Sino Inno Lab towards the end of October 2018 to provide a enabling platform to support start-ups, inventors and technology companies in Hong Kong and from overseas to develop PropTech solutions. Andrew will speak on the culture of learning that the Lab seeks to promote among its staff, as well as methods to deepen their awareness and understanding of technology.

Towngas' Approach to Fostering Innovation Culture

Founded in 1862, Towngas was Hong Kong's first public utility. The company has since evolved from a simple supplier of fuel for street lamps into a major player in the Mainland's energy industry, a development which Towngas ascribes to innovation as a key contributing factor to its continuous success and growth momentum. Daniel will share insights on ways companies could embrace and foster an innovative-friendly environment by drawing on Towngas' experience.

Digital Transformation in Business – A Technological and Pragmatic Perspective

Courses on digital transformation have become increasingly a staple in business school curriculums. In its simplest embodiment, digital transformation can refer simply to artificial intelligence. However and on closer examination, it can have far broader implications that extend from meeting customer expectations to implementing corporate changes. For his presentation, Jack will explain why businesses should obtain a better understanding of the new wave of digital transformation and the advantages of doing so. He will also provide examples of organizational behavioral changes to make such a change.

How to win recognition for your business through the HKAI Awards
The Hong Kong Awards for Industries is a premier business awards scheme championed by the HKSAR Government. The Awards are divided into seven categories and the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce is the organiser of the "Innovation and Creativity" category. Past winners have includes large and small companies from such diverse backgrounds as manufacturing, IT, finance, logistics, design, construction, retail and professional services. The Chamber Secretariat will provide an overview of the selection criteria and include references to past winners and their achievements.
