Revolutionising Robotics: From Idea to Impact
Tylor Ng, General Manager, Rice Robotics

Tylor will delve into the transformative journey of Rice Robotics - from its inception as a startup to its emergence as a leading provider of robotic solutions in Asia and share his invaluable insights on surmounting industry challenges within a startup landscape. Tylor will also introduce Campus X, an ed-tech spinoff created by Rice Robotics, crafted to translate the real-world experience of product development to the next generation. Furthermore, this session will explore how Campus X distills the essence of Rice Robotics into an engaging course that covers product design and engineering, thereby empowering children to create and innovate.

Digital Transformation in Insurance Industry
Jim Qin, CEO of General Insurance, Zurich Insurance (Hong Kong)

Jim will share his experiences on how Zurich embraced the evolution of Data and AI, from risk assessment to automation, from personalized customer experience to a data driven organization. He will also discuss various challenges associated with AI, including technology maturity, organization readiness, change management, ethical framework etc.

How to win recognition for your business through the HKAI Awards
The Hong Kong Awards for Industries is a premier business awards scheme championed by the HKSAR Government. The Awards are divided into five categories and the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce is the organiser of the "Innovation and Creativity" category. Past winners have included large and small companies from such diverse backgrounds as manufacturing, IT, finance, logistics, design, construction, retail and professional services. The Chamber Secretariat will provide an overview of the selection criteria.

Tylor leads initiatives that propel technological advancements and nurture innovative mindsets, focusing on deploying cutting-edge robotics and reshaping educational experiences.

Tylor graduated with a degree in Biotechnology from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.

Jim Qin, CEO of General Insurance, Zurich Insurance (Hong Kong)

Jim has been in the general insurance industry for more than 20 years, having held roles including underwriting, risk management, operation, finance and actuarial.  He worked in Sydney, Singapore, Kuala Lumpar, Bangkok and Hong Kong, and held board positions in India, Thailand and Indonesia.

Jim is a CFA and a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries Australia.

Fred Sheu, National Technology Officer, Microsoft Hong Kong

Fred supports policy decision and delivers technologically relevant and scalable solutions into Hong Kong market. His main objectives are to align IT value propositions to public policies in such areas as healthcare, education, the environment, and local social and economic development; and to promote a digital agenda in top policy areas, including innovation, security and privacy, technology neutrality, accessibility, and interoperability.

Prior to Microsoft, Fred worked with Hewlett Packard (HP) Enterprise where he was the General Manager of Software for HPE Hong Kong. Fred is an active veteran in Hong Kong ICT industry, he serves in councils of Hong Kong Computer Society (HKCS), itSMF Hong Kong Chapter and the Hong Kong Information Technology Federation (HKITF).

Fred graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Computer Science (Hon) degree.
