The China Committee has been promoting Hong Kong as the international bridge connecting Mainland China with the world. It is one of the most active committees in the Chamber, and is responsible for advising and assisting the Chamber in formulating policy, enhancing economic relations and strengthening trade. The committee keeps members up to date on the latest economic developments and new policies in Hong Kong and the Mainland that will impact their business, through organizing timely roundtable luncheons, seminars and study missions.

Second Conference on Belt and Road Trade and Investment: Policy and Practice

Chamber Vice Chairman Leland Sun represented the Chamber at the Second Conference on Belt and Road Trade and Investment: Policy and Practice, on 21 November. Edward Yau, Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, also attended the event. During the conference, he encouraged Hong Kong businesses to actively participate in the Belt and Road, and to use their skills and expertise to contribute to the initiative.

At the event, representatives from Myanmar, Indonesia, Bengal, Vietnam and Cambodia introduced their local business environment, investment policies and industry development.
