This is a great chance to meet and learn from a remarkable leader who has journeyed from humble beginnings as a civil engineer, later a senior executive in construction and infrastructure consulting business, and in 2017 the then HKSAR Secretary for Development engaging in the policy making of sustaining the growth of Hong Kong as a modern city for quality living space as well as desirable workplace for the population, enriching the city's living environment through effective land use planning, urban renewal, greening and heritage conservation.
Eric, riding on his rich experience in land development and planning, was later appointed as the Acting CEO of Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park Limited to lead the strategic planning and design of the master layout blueprint of the project. Currently the Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer of New World Development Company Limited, Eric plays a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations and management, overseeing strategic initiatives of land and property development, investment and financial management of the Group.
Graduated from The University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Civil), Eric further pursued his studies at Monash University and received a Master of Engineering degree in Transportation Planning. He is also a committee member of the CPPCC of Shenzhen, and the Senior Vice President of The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers.
Eric's passion to share knowledge and insight with the younger generation has led him to dedicate his time to serving local universities. He is currently a member of the Council of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, a member of the Court of the City University of Hong Kong, and an adjunct professor at three universities! |
