Founded in 1861, the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce (HKGCC) is the oldest business organisation in Hong Kong. Our mission is to promote, represent and safeguard the interests of the Hong Kong business community. We are a self-funded, non-profit making organisation, and as such, we are a truly independent body representing the diverse interests of the entire business community in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR).

We are truly international, with our membership comprising of multinational, Mainland Chinese, and Hong Kong companies. Our loyalties lie with our members, and we serve as their voice on matters affecting businesses, providing business information and opportunities, and facilitating networking through a variety of Chamber activities. Breadth: We have representatives on over 40 Government and non-Government Advisory Boards.

Depth: Two Executive Council representatives are Chamber members, two of our members are Legislative Councilors, and two of our members serve on the CPPCC Standing Committee.
