Situated between Southern China and the massively populous markets of Bangladesh and India, Myanmar occupies a unique position in the Belt and Road Initiative. Most notably, Myanmar is seen as a link that connects both the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road and the Silk Road Economic Belt, making it an integral component of both.

The country is rich in raw materials – oil, gas and hydropower and its economy is growing stronger than ever – its GDP is forecast to expand by 8 % in 2018/2019, with a large service sector accounting for almost half of the country's GDP.

As the "super-connector" in the Belt and Road Initiative, Hong Kong's role in facilitating trade and investment in ASEAN countries has never been more important. Time is now ripe to tap Myanmar's potential.

The Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce, The Hong Kong Myanmar Chamber of Commerce and the Myanmar Belt & Road Development Association will jointly organize "Belt and Road Series: Unleashing Myanmar's Potential" Seminar to explore the opportunities that the country offers along the Belt & Road Initiative. The seminar panel includes heavyweights from both Hong Kong and Myanmar.

What opportunities exist for investors and business people in Myanmar? What is the investment environment like? Are there any opportunities for Hong Kong investors on the Belt and Road projects? How are foreign investors succeeding in Myanmar?

Do not miss out on this high-level event – join us in unleashing the potential of Asia's rising tiger!
