As one of the largest garment manufacturers in Hong Kong and Mainland China, Dragon Crowd Enterprise (China) Ltd has been renowned for its high-quality knitted garments since the 1960s. Aiming for more growth, the group has expanded their brand assets and business operations through acquiring and operating retail brands.
Leading this change is Terrence Yuk, the group’s Chief Operating Officer and the elder son of the group’s founder.
After graduating in 1996 from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor’s Degree of Architecture, Yuk did not join Dragon Crowd Enterprise (China) Ltd but chose to work in architectural firms in Hong Kong, including Wong & Ouyueng. In 2006, he moved to Dragon Crowd and since then, he has managed the group’s marketing, product development, export and domestic sales departments over the past decade.
Yuk took up his current position in 2011 and has been overseeing the group’s entire operations with a focus on China. Presently, he is also the General Manager of Cheer Profits (Shanghai) Trading Co Ltd., Dragon Crowd’s Mainland China arm.
Under Yuk’s leadership, Dragon Crown Group evolved by vertically integrating from being just an export manufacturer to a multi-faceted sourcing, production, marketing, and retail operation. As of now, the group’s extensive retail network includes 600 stores spread across 104 cities in Mainland China.
Hoping to gain more exposure and opportunities, Dragon Crowd Enterprise (China) Ltd joined the Chamber in 1977.
“The Chamber offers retail and manufacturing industry insights. It also helps us look for business opportunities and partnerships with other members in the Chamber, as well as gain exposure in the Hong Kong and Mainland China markets,” explained Yuk.
“Industry intelligence and networking opportunities provided by the Chamber help generate new business opportunities and marketing strategy for my company,” Yuk said. “In my mind, the Chamber is a comprehensive platform for members to share business ideas, expand their networks and obtain industry insights.”
