Company Background

China Inspection Company Limited ("CIC") is an integrated inspection, testing, certification and appraisal organization incorporated in Hong Kong in 1982 upon approval by the State Council and a Chinese-invested enterprise established in Hong Kong by the AQSIQ and the CNCA. We carry out inspection, appraisal, certification and testing authorized or entrusted by the AQSIQ and independently develop inspection markets. At present, our services cover inspection, appraisal and certification of industrial products, food, consumer goods, animals and plants and their products, vehicles, renewable resources, trade assurance, etc. Our inspection and appraisal certificates are internationally recognized. For years, we have gained trust from numerous famous enterprises, governments and organizations and have become a major player, competitor and pusher in the Hong Kong inspection market.
After 30 years of development from the dozen of employees, funds of several hundred thousand dollars and a simple lab, we now have become a diversified group with more than 700 employees, 25 secondary organizations (including 10 directly controlled departments, 8 subsidiaries, 3 departments staying at cooperators, 3 affiliated departments, and 1 agency) and one 5-star hotel.

Business Activities

In order to adapt to the rapid development of business and provide quality service, we have successively built Integrated Test Center Phase I and II covering a total area of 210,000sq ft in Yuen Long Industrial Estate and invested tens of millions Hong Kong dollars in the construction of a lab accredited by the HOKLAS and the CNAS, Hong Kong’s largest vehicle test line, advanced door-type radiation detector, etc. Vehicle Inspection Center, a subsidiary of the Company, is the sole authorized organization for inspecting vehicles running between the Mainland and Hong Kong. Animal and Plant Quarantine Center, a subsidiary of the Company, is the first organization for wooden package heat treatment in Hong Kong recognized by the Hong Kong government. China Dragon, a subsidiary of the Company, is one of the seven organizations engaged in food nutrition and composition testing recommended by the Hong Kong government as well as the organization for inspection and accreditation of toys and children products exported to USA recognized by the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). In 2002, we passed the ISO/IEC17020/17025 quality certifications, thus our inspection technology and service quality have reached the international and professional level.
