Established in 1959, Yue Hwa has served the Hong Kong Community as one of the leading emporium and specialty stores groups retailing in Chinese and other quality products. Over the years, it has grown into an extensive network of three department stores and a dozen of specialty stores in Hong Kong, plus operation of a department store in Singapore as well as branching out to property investments in Beijing, China and Vancouver, Canada.

Situated in the hubs of Kowloon prime areas, the Yue Hwa self-owned flagship store opened in 1976, and, besides selling the widest choice of China-made goods, has built a well designed, spacious exhibition hall, frequently putting up promotional exhibitions and cultural shows in order to bring brand-new quality products and services mainly from China to customers. In 1986 and 1995 respectively, Yue Hwa's position in the district was bolstered, with acquisition of the properties at Site B and C, Park Lane Shopper's Boulevard, Nathan Road for long-term investment and the opening of another department store in prominent Yue Hwa International Building, Peking Road.
