The Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce (HKGCC) welcomes President Xi Jinping’s visit to Hong Kong to officiate at Hong Kong’s 25th anniversary of the handover, which reinforces the city’s return to stability and contributions to the nation.
Hong Kong has experienced many challenges in the past 25 years, including the Covid-19 pandemic and social unrest. Under the “One Country, Two Systems,” Hong Kong has successfully weathered past storms. It has also provided Hong Kong with its unique status and advantages in finance, shipping, trading and our free and open economy, as well as trusted legal system that serves the interests of Hong Kong and contributes to the development of the Mainland.
As the HKSAR celebrates its 25th anniversary, we are now in a better position than ever to deliver what people desire with a stable, free and inclusive society, upheld by the rule of law. The Chamber believes that stability is the key factor that all businesses require for success. Now Hong Kong is back on track, coupled with the unwavering support of the Central Government and immense opportunities in the Greater Bay Area, we look forward to further contributing to Hong Kong and the nation’s development in the next 25 years.
