"Communication takes place in the mind of the listener, not the speaker."

1. Underlying Principles of Effective Spoken Communication

Participants will be amazed to discover what their strengths are when talking with people and conveying their messages. Why do people listen attentively? And why sometimes the listeners seem to forget all the contents just explained?

2. Plan, Contents and Structure
Many people spend lots of time, agonizing over the preparation of the contents of their speech. This is because they haven't established a good preparation process. The facilitator will show the participants how to construct the message with clarity, brevity and impact, and review the planning process which leads to delivery failure.

3. Visual Aids
This is a very effective way to enhance a message. However, too much visual will override and even distract attention. We will demonstrate to participants how to apply the appropriate visual to prepare their speech, and let them understand visual is only a support, and not the backbone of the entire presentation.
