The Base Erosion and Profit Shifting ("BEPS") and Transfer Pricing ("TP") Bill was passed by the Legislative Council last year and was then gazetted as Inland Revenue (Amendment) (No. 6) Ordinance 2018. With this formal introduction, the Inland Revenue Department ("IRD") is taking a more aggressive approach on TP issues in cross-border intercompany transactions and it is expected that TP will be the key tax controversy area in the near future. Although it's foreseeable that the difficulties in handling such cases is greatly enhanced, it is also possible for taxpayers to use TP methodology to resolve the existing tax audit cases in a more effective way.

In the third workshop of the "Managing Tax Controversy Series", tax professionals from PwC's Transfer Pricing Services and Tax Controversy Services will share the recent development of the TP legislation in Hong Kong. They will also present ways to use TP to resolve tax controversy cases and precautions measures to prevent potential tax disputes on TP in the future.

This workshop series should be of interest to all those who would like to have a better understanding of handling tax controversy situations in Hong Kong and China, and is particularly relevant to those who work in the accounting, finance, tax or legal fields.

Upon registration of this workshop, participants will receive a coupon code, which is entitled to a special discount of $50 applicable for the same person to another workshop in this series.

You may also sign up all four workshops to enjoy a total savings of $250! If you are interested in taking up this offer, please contact Ms Karen Au by phone at 2823 1200 or by email at
