Spain is home to some of the best foods and wine in the world and rich cultural traditions. Besides its flourishing tourism industry, however, the country thrives as a booming centre for innovation, technology, design and creativity, with more than 14,600 foreign firms having established presence there attracting a constantly increasing flow of businesses and investors.

Neighbouring Portugal also boasts a rich history and vibrant culinary scene with abundant business collaboration opportunities. It is also among the strongest growing economies in the European Union with a 1.9% growth rate, ahead of Spain (1.8%) and Belgium (1.5%).

At this roundtable talk on 9 April, participants will be able to hear firsthand from Consuls General of both countries and a Spanish homegrown entrepreneur how Hong Kong companies can tap the emerging opportunities presented by these two countries. Members can also learn about the Chamber's upcoming mission to Spain and Portugal in May this year.
