According to Tencent, the WeChat platform achieved the remarkable milestone of 1 billion monthly active users during the Chinese New Year period this year. It has been important for businesses to know the tricks behind the WeChat apps for digital marketing. Horris Tse, Co-founder of WeMine, spoke at a roundtable event on 11 June to share that as different official accounts are characterized by different functions reaching different targeted segments. Signing up a wrong official account could be detrimental, if not totally a disaster to a company which has already invested into growing followers.
