Online Retail Market Opportunities in China
China’s plan to set up free trade zones in recent years has created a huge market for cross-border ecommerce. Chinese consumers are beginning to look for some regular brands instead of simply selecting luxury items when they shop online. Horace Mak, General Manager of Deep Blue eCOM Cross Border Trade (Shanghai) Co Ltd, spoke at Chamber’s roundtable luncheon on online retail opportunities and marketing strategies in China. He also spoke about how Chinese consumers are now driven by product quality, website experience and price when shopping online.
