Annual GDP growth had averaged 9% per annum between 2004-08, although hard hit by the 2009 financial tsunami, Mongolia seems set to be on the path to recovery. The country which had traditionally relied on herding and agriculture, today it derives a substantial part of its export income from mining exports. Alisher Ali Djumanov, CEO of Eurasia Capital, presented at the Chamber’s June 18 roundtable luncheon a bullish view of the latest developments and opportunities arising in Mongolia.
