Terms of Reference

1) Mission

As the services policy think-tank of the Chamber, to promote the continuing development and competitiveness of Hong Kong's service industries.

2) Membership

• Membership is by invitation only, subject to agreement by the HKCSI Chairman and the Chamber CEO. The membership composition will reflect the broad coverage of Hong Kong's service sectors.
• Members should observe the "Guidelines for HKGCC Committees".

3) Objectives

• To promote the development of a "service friendly environment" in Hong Kong.
• To provide a focal point for liaison with Government.
• To establish and maintain cooperation between members of Hong Kong's service industries for the purpose of achieving common goals.
• To represent the interests of service industries in Hong Kong and to formulate policies and make submissions on behalf of members of the Hong Kong Coalition of Service Industries.
• To promote fair, effective and comprehensive international and multilateral rules for trade in service.
• To contribute to the opening of the services sectors of the Mainland.
• To establish and develop links with counterpart organisations elsewhere.
