“Women on the Move” Series: MTR Corporation - Keeping Hong Kong Moving

As part of our new “Women on the Move” series, talents from MTR Corporation Limited recently shared their personal journeys and professional insights, showing that with the right mindset and support, anyone – regardless of gender, age or background – can thrive in the transport and logistics industry.

Lee, Cheris, Chief of Operating & Metro Segment, spoke about the importance of curiosity and self-motivation in mastering the complexities of railway operations, while Candice Poon, Senior Infrastructure System Assurance Manager, emphasized the need for a strong sense of responsibility and laser-sharp focus. Tiffany Der, Train Captain, also stressed the importance of remaining calm and adaptable when handling unexpected situations on the job. All agreed that while the work comes with its challenges, it is deeply rewarding, and their families take pride in the meaningful careers they have built.

Winson Tse, General Manager – Infrastructure Maintenance, talked about MTR’s commitment to equal opportunity, including flexible work arrangements and extending free ride benefits to single employees. With thoughtful initiatives like pet-friendly Light Rail services and more accessible facilities, MTR continues to move Hong Kong forward – reliably and inclusively.

Community Outreach with SoCO: Sharing Mooncakes & Smiles

It was truly heartwarming to see our Women Executives Club (WEC) join hands with the Society for Community Organization (SoCO) to deliver mooncakes to over 700 underprivileged families, elderly individuals and children.

Women Executives Club presents: Summer Networking Cocktail

We had a great time at the Summer Networking Cocktail organized by our Women Executives Club on 29 July!

In her welcome speech, Chairman Michelle Cheng highlighted the WEC’s incredible achievements over the past year, and also introduced its new Vice Chairman Agnes Hui and Executive Committee member Alice Wong. Guests enjoyed connecting over refreshments and engaging in conversations that sparked new ideas.

The WEC looks forward to an exciting year ahead as we continue to champion women’s leadership and work to build a vibrant, supportive community!

Airwallex Women x HKGCC Women Executives Club x Spanish Chamber of Commerce presents: Her Drive, Our Future

The Chamber’s Women Executives Club joined forces with Airwallex Women, the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong’s “Women in Business,” and Women@Google to celebrate International Women’s Day with the event “Her Drive, Our Future” this week.

Women executives and entrepreneurs from various industries came together to share their inspiring journeys and insights into leadership, innovation and navigating uncertainty. The panel discussions fostered plenty of dialogue, showcasing how women are not only adapting to technological advancements but also championing team development. Attendees left with valuable insights into overcoming challenges and driving meaningful change in the workplace.

Join us in Spreading Smiles: Volunteer Visit with Ronald McDonald House

The Woman Executive Club partnered with Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Hong Kong for a heartwarming visit on 26 February, offering a glimpse into the support and care that RMHC provides to families during challenging times.

The day commenced with an introduction to the organization's inspiring mission of providing a "home away from home" for families with children undergoing medical treatment.

The highlight of the day was the opportunity to interact with the children. Through casual conversations and playtime, we shared laughter and stories.

International Woman's Day Celebration Dinner

Chamber Chairman Agnes Chan attended the International Women’s Day Celebration Dinner hosted by the Hong Kong Federation of Women on 25 February. She was joined by representatives from the Women Executives Club (WEC), including WEC Chairman Michelle Cheng.

The banquet, which brought together over 1,000 leaders and executives, celebrated women’s achievements and contributions to society. It also provided an excellent opportunity for networking and meaningful discussions, inspiring attendees to continue striving for positive change in support of women’s career growth and success.
