Lee, Cheris, Chief of Operating & Metro Segment, spoke about the importance of curiosity and self-motivation in mastering the complexities of railway operations, while Candice Poon, Senior Infrastructure System Assurance Manager, emphasized the need for a strong sense of responsibility and laser-sharp focus. Tiffany Der, Train Captain, also stressed the importance of remaining calm and adaptable when handling unexpected situations on the job. All agreed that while the work comes with its challenges, it is deeply rewarding, and their families take pride in the meaningful careers they have built.
Winson Tse, General Manager – Infrastructure Maintenance, talked about MTR’s commitment to equal opportunity, including flexible work arrangements and extending free ride benefits to single employees. With thoughtful initiatives like pet-friendly Light Rail services and more accessible facilities, MTR continues to move Hong Kong forward – reliably and inclusively.

In her welcome speech, Chairman Michelle Cheng highlighted the WEC’s incredible achievements over the past year, and also introduced its new Vice Chairman Agnes Hui and Executive Committee member Alice Wong. The day commenced with an introduction to the organization's inspiring mission of providing a "home away from home" for families with children undergoing medical treatment.
The highlight of the day was the opportunity to interact with the children. Through casual conversations and playtime, we shared laughter and stories.

The banquet, which brought together over 1,000 leaders and executives, celebrated women’s achievements and contributions to society. It also provided an excellent opportunity for networking and meaningful discussions, inspiring attendees to continue striving for positive change in support of women’s career growth and success.
