Six-year-old Fung Man-chung became one of the youngest award winners. At that time, he was kidnapped and in extreme danger. His bravery and intelligence helped him pave the way for the arrest of his kidnappers. This little boy received a Good Citizen Award and a cheque for $5,000 as a reward.
While the ordeal must have been terrifying for him, it did inspire him to join the Police after graduating, and he continues to be a proud member of the Hong Kong Police Force to this day.
