HKGCC 1861 Members Lounge – User Guidelines

The HKGCC 1861 Member’s Lounge is an exclusive space designed to offer Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce (HKGCC) members a comfortable environment for short meetings and relaxation. To maintain a pleasant experience for all users, members are kindly asked to observe the following guidelines.

1. Access & Eligibility
• The lounge is designated for HKGCC full members only.
• Each member may bring up to 3 guests in accordance with the Chamber’s guest policy.
• All members and guests must check in and out following the lounge’s registration procedures.

2. Capacity & Duration

• Recommended maximum capacity: 18 persons.
• Standard usage is up to 2 hours per visit.
• Extensions are permitted when the lounge is not at full capacity; please check with reception before continuing your stay.

3. Operating Principles

• The lounge operates on a self-served basis. Members are expected to take care of their own belongings and tidy up after use.
• Shared facilities (including seating, refreshment areas, and reading materials) are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

4. Conduct & Etiquette

• Please keep conversations at a moderate volume to maintain a quiet and comfortable environment for all users.
• Mobile phones should be set to silent mode. If a longer conversation is required, kindly move outside the lounge.
• Be considerate when using shared seating, tables, and power outlets.

5. Refreshments

· Complimentary self-served refreshments (coffee, tea, and water) are available for members.
• Please enjoy beverages responsibly and return used cups and utensils to the designated collection area.
• Outside food is not permitted unless approved for official Chamber activities.

6. Cleanliness & Care of Facilities

• Members are expected to keep the lounge clean and leave the space as they found it.
• Any accidental spills or minor issues should be reported to staff immediately.
• Furniture and equipment should be handled with care to ensure the lounge remains in good condition for all members.

7. Use of Materials & Resources

• Magazines, newspapers, and other reading materials provided in the lounge are for in-lounge use only.
• Please return all materials to their original location after use.

8. Personal Belongings

• Members are responsible for their own personal items.
• The Chamber is not liable for loss, theft, or damage of personal belongings left unattended in the lounge.
• Any inappropriate behaviour, misuse of facilities, or misconduct may result in suspension of lounge access.

9. Safety & Compliance

• All users must follow the Chamber’s safety guidelines, emergency procedures, and bad-weather arrangements.

10. Feedback & Support

• Members are welcome to provide feedback or suggestions through the Membership Team.
• Any concerns raised will be acknowledged and escalated following the Chamber’s established procedures.
